Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG; expressed in E.coli)

Tissue transglutaminase (tTG; syn. TGase-2) is an ubiquitously expressed enzyme, which exerts protein deamidation and transamidation activity leading to the creation of neo-epitopes and the cross-linking of proteins, respectively. DIARECT™s tTG has been sequence modified to eliminate this cross-linking activity and to prevent covalent aggregates of tTG with host cell proteins. DIARECT™ antigens are for further manufacturing or research use only.

Origin
Recombinant. Expressed in E. coli bacterial cells.
Biochemical Test
SDS-PAGE (purity> 95%); Western blot with i: anti-tTG autoantibody positive sample; ii: monoclonal anti-His-tag antibody.
Calculated Molecular Weight
78 kDa
Calculated Isoelectric Point
pH 5.3
Coating Concentration
0.6-1.4 µg/ml (depending on the type of ELISA plate and coating buffer). Suitable for labeling of functional groups. Remark: very diverse coating protocols exist in the literature; DIARECT recommends extensive testing in assay development.
