Sp100

Sp100 is a 100 kDa nuclear protein, which appears as a speckled pattern in immunofluorescence assays. The function of Sp100 is not well understood, but recent findings suggest a role in the cellular response to viral infections. DIARECT™ antigens are for further manufacturing or research use only.

Origin
Recombinant. Expressed by recombinant baculovirus (Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus; AcMNPV) infection of Spodoptera frugiperda Sf9 insect cells.
Biochemical Test
SDS-PAGE (purity> 80%); Western blot with i: anti-Sp100 autoantibody-positive sample; ii: monoclonal anti-His-tag antibody.
Calculated Molecular Weight
55 kDa (Sp100 displays a gel system dependent aberrant electrophoretic mobility. Its name is based on an observed mobility at 100 kDa; in DIARECT's gel systems it migrates with an apparent molecular weight of 79 kDa).
Calculated Isoelectric Point
pH 5.0
Coating Concentration
0.5-0.9 µg/ml (depending on the type of ELISA plate and coating buffer). Suitable for labeling of functional groups.
