Parvovirus B19 VLP VP1/VP2 Co-Capsid

Parvovirus B19 propagates primarily in erythroid progenitor cells and is the causative agent of erythema infectiosum. The viral capsid comprises a major and a minor structural protein, named VP2 and VP1, respectively. DIARECT offers recombinant VP1 and VP2 co-assembled into virus like particles (VLP). DIARECT™ antigens are for further manufacturing or research use only.

Origin
Recombinant. Expressed by recombinant baculovirus (Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus; AcMNPV) infection of Spodoptera frugiperda Sf9 insect cells.
Biochemical Test
SDS-PAGE (purity > 80%; content of VP1 > 3.5%); Western blot with anti-Parvovirus B19 positive sera.
