Babesia microti p41
Babesiosis is caused by microscopic parasites that infect red blood cells and are spread by certain ticks. The disease mainly occurs in parts of the Northeast and upper Midwest of the United States as well as in Europe and usually peaks during the warm months. Babesia microti p41 was found to be expressed in all developmental stages of the merozoites and is considered an immunogenic protein.
