Streptococcus pyogenes Transketolase (tkt)
In the pentose phosphate pathway, the enzyme transketolase catalyzes two reactions contributing to the conversion of ribulose-5-phosphate into glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate. In Streptococcus pyogenes, transketolase has been found to be associated with the cell wall and exposed to the surface. DIARECT™ antigens are for further manufacturing or research use only.
