Glutamate Decarboxylase 65 kDa (GAD65)

The 65kDa-enzyme glutamate decarboxylase (GAD65) catalyzes the decarboxylation of glutamate to gamma-aminobutyrate (GABA). In human cells, GAD65 localizes to the vicinity of the Golgi apparatus and vesicles containing GABA. DIARECT™ antigens are for further manufacturing or research use only.

Origin
Recombinant. Expressed by recombinant baculovirus (Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus; AcMNPV) infection of Spodoptera frugiperda Sf9 insect cells.
Biochemical Test
SDS-PAGE (purity > 80%); Western Blot with anti-GAD65 autoantibody-positive sera.
